Hello Everybody!
When your little one says their first words, these are usually the names of their favourite people, toys and foods.  For example, ‘mummy’, ‘daddy’, ‘car’, ‘ball’, ‘dog’ or ‘biscuit’.  These are all nouns or object words, but to build their sentences they need to use action words.
Today, why not combine some physical activities with some action words (verbs)?   Encourage your little one to think of different ways of moving.  You might like to play some music to help get them going and even join in yourself?  Then, as they hop, skip, jump, bend, run and dance, take photos of their movements and say their actions.  For example, “you are hopping” or “you are jumping”.
Finally, when they are exhausted, sit down together and look back through the photos.  Can your little one describe the movement in each photo using a sentence, such as “I am running”, “I am hopping” or “I am twisting”?
